Between our Global Game Jam participation and capstone work we’ve definitely had our hands full lately! A little bit on what’s been going on:
We’ve finalized our design document and are all happy with the existing design, mechanics, and concept art.
All bosses, items, and levels have been sketched in our communal physical art bible. As models are created we’ll be sure to share them here!
The first boss has been modeled in Maya and is currently getting textured and animated.
The background parallax technology has been developed. A temporary level has been developed to test this.
The grappling hook technology has been developed. A temporary level has been developed to test this.
Character animation technology has been developed. A temporary level has been developed to test this.
We are currently creating a prototype fight level that is due to be completed by Monday. Admittedly we are slightly behind schedule due to GGJ participation but we are still glad with the progress we’ve made and are optimistic looking forward. Because we’ve designed this game around simple yet scalable systems, a prototype can quickly be expanded into a level, which can be expanded into an alpha version of the full game.
